What we offer

Port of Sunderland’s diverse and growing portfolio includes services to the energy, forest products, project, unitised and dry bulk sectors.

The port also offers extensive open and covered TASCC approved storage available for warehousing or project purposes. And with excellent road and rail links enabling efficient regional and nationwide distribution, the needs of an increasingly demanding supply chain can be met.

The port can comfortably handle up to handymax size vessels and benefits from great experience in this sector, with a wide range of commodities regularly passing through the port.
The port has several operation sites for the handling of goods by rail around the dock and can undertake the handling of goods with our own equipment.
The port regularly handles project and unitised cargoes in particular steel products and wood pulp. These vessels are handled on the river berths and in the dock.
Ideally positioned on the North East Coast of the UK, Port of Sunderland plays a key role in Round 3 offshore wind farm development zones such as Dogger Bank and Hornsea.
Port of Sunderland boasts extensive storage facilities, and with impressive and improving transport links, infrastructure is in place for cost effective and efficient distribution of cargoes.
